Thailand Vs Lebanon – Al Wasl Satdium, Dubai

Thailand finished top of their group proving that despite automatic entry to the World Cup this year as the host nation they are not taking this tournament lightly. Speaking to The- AFC.com Head coach Hermans says ”Just because we have are taking part in the World Cup it doesn’t mean we don’t want to go as far as we can here and we are fighting to go all the way to the final”.

They will be taking on Lebanon who finished 2nd to Japan in Group B, in there game against Japan Lebanon narrowly lost out to the Japan the group B winners.

 

Iran Vs Uzbekistan – Al-shabab stadium, Dubai

Ten time champions Iran have shown why they are favourites to capture there eleventh title with a 100% record, 31 goals and only conceding 1. They started with a 14-1 victory over Korea Republic followed by an 8-0 win over Qatar, lastly they impressively beat quarter finalists Australia 9-0.

Japan Vs Kyrgyzstan – Al Wasl Stadium, Dubai

Other than Iran Japan have been very impressive so far in the tournament with 3 wins in 3 and there Spanish coach Miguel Rodrigo has is eyes firmly set on the World Cup in Thailand later this year.

 

Kuwait Vs Australia - Al-Shabab Stadium, Dubai

The winner of this game along with the other will qualify for the 2012 World Cup, this is a huge incentive for all the quarter finalists. (If cup hosts Thailand make it to the top four, then the best loser will also qualify. This game will be evenly matched with high stakes with both teams having a good tournament so far.
